Prerequisite: Art I or Instructor Consent based on proficiency of interview and portfolio
Intermediate Art II further explores the Elements and Principles of Art but begins to develop and explore the artist's creativity through more open ended assignments. The student's voice begins to develop as they work towards being proficient in their understanding of the techniques and skills in art and increase their creativity and problem solving skills.
Students will need to keep a sketchbook as a visual diary and note taking book for their assignments in both school and at home. As in Beginning Visual Arts,
Students will need to join our class in Google Classroom. This will have all the information and notes for all their units throughout the year. They will be responsible for reading, watching note-taking and participating in Google classroom at home and occasionally in class. It's highly recommended that parents join Google Classroom so they can keep track of assignments and notes. While Google Classroom has a grading option in it's assignments, it will not be an accurate way to evaluate progress. Please keep track of your student's progress using Powerschool.
